Có chớ, ba loại M1/M2/M3 thật ra là anh em cùng chung một gia đình, dựa trên design của súng trường M1 Garand.

M1 là phiên bản đầu tiên với băng đạn 15 viên:



M1A1 là phiên bản cho lính nhảy dù, báng súng có thể gập lại được:



M2 có thêm selective-fire để có thể chọn bắn từng viên hoặc liên thanh, băng đạn được tăng gấp đôi lên 30 viên:



M3 chính là M2, có thêm scope hồng ngoại cho snipers:



Các dòng M1/M2/M3 này được dùng rộng rãi trong suốt Đệ Nhị Thế Chiến cũng như là cuộc nội chiến Triều Tiên (có hơn một triệu khẩu được gửi cho quân đội Nam Hàn), còn tại nội chiến Việt Nam thì đến thập niên 1960s nó được thay thế bởi các dòng M16 cũng như là CAR-15 Commando.

This was a part of a mission to clear a simulated IED Manufacturing location. After patrolling into the location, Alpha company took hold and cleared the area.
