Install ASP.NET 2.0

1. Install ASP.NET 2.0 using the ASP.NET IIS Registration Tool. To do this, open a command prompt, browse to %SystemRoot%\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v2.0.50727, and type the following:
aspnet_regiis.exe -iru

Note
If you have BizTalk Server 2004-related virtual directories, you must change the ASP.NET version number manually by using the IIS 6.0 Microsoft Management Console.

1. Insert the SQL Server 2005 installation disk into the CD-ROM drive. If the SQL Server 2005 Setup page does not appear, double-click setup.exe located in the root of the installation CD.
2. On the End User License Agreement screen, accept the license agreement, and then click Next.

SQL Server 2005 Component Updater may install required components if you are missing any.
3. On the Installing Prerequisites screen, click Next.
4. On the Welcome to the Microsoft SQL Server Installation Wizard page, click Next.
5. On the System Configuration Check page, ensure that there are no errors before you continue, and then click Next.
6. On the Registration Information page, click Next.
7. On the Components to Install page, select SQL Server Database Services and Workstation components, Books Online and development tools. Select the following if you plan to use Business Activity Monitoring (BAM) features:
• Analysis Services
• Notification Services
• Integration Services
Note
Using the BizTalk Server Tracking Analysis Database with SQL Server 2005 Analysis Services is not supported.
Note
Installing the Reporting Services component is optional.
8. Click Next.
9. On the Instance Name page, select Default instance, and then click Next.
Note
To upgrade a named instance, there must be a named instance already on the computer.
10. On the Existing Components page, Setup lists SQL Server components installed on the computer. Select the check boxes for SQL Server Database Services 8.00.2039 and Analysis Services 8.0.2039.0, and then click Next.
11. On the Upgrade Logon Information page, select Windows Authentication Mode, and then click Next.
12. On the Service Account page, assign a login account to the SQL Server services. If Use a domain user account is selected, enter a local account or domain account and password. Click Next.
13. On the Collation Settings page, leave the defaults, and then click Next.
14. On the Error and Usage Report Settings page, leave the defaults, and then click Next.
15. On the Ready to Install page, review the information, and then click Install.
16. On the Setup Progress page, after setup has finished, click Next.
17. On the Completing Microsoft SQL Server 2005 Setup page, click Finish.
