EmEditor Text Editor là một trình soạn thảo văn bản nhỏ nhưng mạnh và dễ dùng. EmEditor rất dễ tùy biến, và hỗ trợ Unicode và macros. EmEditor được thiết kế dành cho Windows XP, và tương thích với Windows Vista! Hiện còn có bản dành cho các hệ x64.
EmEditor sử dụng hệ thống các plug-in để mở rộng các chức năng tùy theo nhu cầu nhưng nhân chương trình vẫn chạy nhanh và có kích thước nhỏ. Cộng với tính ổn định và những tính năng tiên tiến, EmEditor tập trung vào những chức năng hữu ích như đánh dấu ngữ pháp theo tùy biến của người dùng, clickable URLs, hỗ trợ kéo thả OLE (Object Linking and Embedding), tìm và thay thế, cũng như khả năng tùy biến phím tắt, toolbar, menu.
EmEditor hỗ trợ đánh dấu ngữ pháp cho nhiều ngôn ngữ như ASP, C++, C#, CSS, HTML, Java, JavaScript, JSP, Pascal (Delphi), Perl, PHP, Python, Ruby, SQL, Tex (LaTeX), VBScript, và Windows Script.

Changes in EmEditor Professional 10.1.1:
- Fixed the bug where, in the CSV/TSV mode, text in one row could stick out to the next row.
- When the "Incremental Search", "Use Regular Expressions", and "Count Matches" check boxes are checked in the Find dialog box, the new version suppresses the warning message even if only a backslash is entered.
- Fixed the bug where selecting "Customize" multiple times in the Jump List of the Windows 7 Task Bar brings up multiple "Customize Menus" dialog boxes. Also fixed the bug where the multiple "Customize Tray Icon" dialog boxes could appear.
- Fixed the bug where MS Office IME 2010 did not run even when the "Run Input Method Editor" check box on the General tab of configuration properties was selected.
- Fixed the bug where EmEditor sometimes crashed when the Narrowing feature was set and when the Clipboard contents were pasted vertically.
- Fixed a certain Thai Language display issue.
- Fixed a certain Paste in Quotes and Returns issue.
