and now, i have some ohters:
- A penny saved is a penny earned : the money you don't spend is also the money you have saved.
- A stich in time saves nine : it's better to deal with a problem ASAP before it becomes a much bigger problem.
- Every cloud has a silver lining : good can often com out of bad situations.
- One person's meat is another one's poison : what one person loves, but another person may hates.
- Don't count your chickens before they hatch : Don't act as if something has already happened when it really hasn't happened yet.
- It's duck soup for me! : it's too easy for me.
- Hot under the collar : Too angry.
- I feel like a million dollars : I feel so wonderful. (pls dont ask me why it's not "... billion USD" )
- Money makes the mare go! : if you have money so much, you can buy anything you want (except the happiness!)
- As cool as cucumber! : be calm in any bad situations
- Don't look a gift horse in the mouth : If s.o gives you a present, you should enjoy it & not ask question about it
- A bird in the hand is worth two in the bush : U cant be sure about s.th you try it

to Tracy_pippo:it's difficult to understand expressions if you explain in English...so I think you should use Vietnamese for these expressions

hey, I have some others:
- An apple a day keeps the doctor away : if u eat the right food, u'll be healthy
- There are plenty of fish in the sea : don't worry if u love s.o who doesn't return your love. U can always find s.o else
- The proof of the pudding is in the eating : if U have s.th, keep it. Don't take the chance of losing it in order to get s.th better
- Don't cry over spilled milk : if U don't know clearly about s.th, pls don't make it more complicated
- Don't judge a book be its covers : before judging s.th, U don't have to look into it clearly, don't be hurry to critisize it when U just see its cover

It's no harm to thoroughly master idioms for reading and use them in daily conversation.
But my experience of using them were quite dreadful, since more you throw them in your conversation with english native speakers, you would have bombarded with others which you normally can't understand.
