Anh Nguyễn Anh Tuấn đại diện iCMS trả lời câu hỏi của Vi Khoa thông qua BTC: "Về sáu thành phần Control trong iCMS, thì CMS.NET hiện là thành phần hiện đang gây tranh cãi nhất. Tại thời điểm chúng em sử dụng thì nó chưa phải là phần mềm mã nguồn mở, và đến tháng 10 năm 2003 thì tác giả mới đưa nó lên SourceForge.net và áp dụng theo bản quyền GPL. Ngoài ra, trong số còn lại có bốn thành phần là phần mềm nguồn miễn phí, không theo Luật GPL. Chỉ có thành phần YAHE.NET là phần mềm nguồn mở. Em chưa xác minh lại xem có theo Luật GNU/GPL không, nhưng theo thông tin mới nhất thì YAHE.NET đã ngừng phát triển".
