Dear Sir,
First of all, i would like to show my gratitude and appreciation for you
to have read and considered this letter. Second, I know it is somewhat
inappropriate to send an private email like this to your address, or to
any address of SMU, but i reckon it will be the fastest way for me to
get what information i want, so please accept my apologize on that.
I would like to introduce myself a little. My name is Huynh Ngoc Tan. I
was borned in 01/05/1984. As my email address imply, I'm working for
********* Asia - Viet Nam office. I joined ******xx since 2003, when i
was 19 and until now it has been almost one year. I've archived certain
certificates and knowledge in Network Integration industry, even a trip
to Sydney for a Cisco Certified Internetworking Expert (CCIE) lab test,
however, the test was not successful. I've worked on Cisco, SUN,
CheckPoint, Nokia ..etc and been experienced to all up-to-date
technologies of the world in Integration market. At the moment, as an
System Engineer in ******xx , i'm currently taking care of many
important MNC customer in Viet Nam market include Unilever, CityBank,
Prudential, Nestle, also participate in ********* inventory management
group, and play an important role in any *********x operation audit.
Later on, i've tend to move over management / operation task in
********* Viet Nam, although unofficial.
All above information can be referenced to Mr ************ - Regional

I have not taken any English examination like IELTS or TOEFL, but
working in a foreign company has help me in developing a well-balanced
English ability, from conversation, listening, speeching,reading and
academic writing. I'm proactive, decisive, determined and have a good
attitude, integrity and professionalism behavior in working. I do feel
proud of myself for such achievements, but inside me, there's always
something tell me that's not enough.
So i decide to move on / move back to University for proper education,
and i'm interested in joining SMU after a couple of months gathering /
researching information about all Singapore University. Attending SMU
will provide me necessary education, knowledge i need for my further
development, also giving me a chance to exceed myself, opening new
boundary for my thinking and visibility.
I've studied from SMU website, FAQ, and other information sources about
applying to SMU, and know that IELTS/TOEFL and SAT I with certain marks
are required, furthermore, selection will also be based on High school
examination result and other achievements. As in *********x , my working
schedule is hectic, so sparing time for preparing necessary requirement
for SMU application will be somewhat tricky to me, as it would affect my
work quality. So i'm asking about my chance in applying for SMU and
applying for Scholarship. As in any project, i have to qualify my
opportunity first, before investing in it. This is a sensitive matter,
however, i will be most appreciate if you can provide me and information
and hint about my possibility.
