<b1.</b> Open Photoshop and create a new document 2 x 2px, RGB mode, resolution 72, transparent background.

2. Click on your Zoom Tool (keystroke Z) and zoom in on your document 1600%.
- Click on the Marquee Tool in the tool bar and select the Single Row Marquee.
- Make black your Foreground color (keystroke D) and press Alt+Backspace</b> to fill with color.

3. Go to the File menu at the top and click Edit>Define Pattern. In the dialogue box that pops up type in a name and then click OK.

4. You\'re done! Now you can use your scanlines to fill shapes, selections, anything you want. To do this simply go to Edit>Fill and choose Pattern as the method, then from the drop-down box choose the scanlines that you made. Click OK.
