⚡ Environmentally friendly (adj): Not harming the environment
Eg: Environmentally friendly products should be widely used thanks to their minimal harm to people and environment
⚡ Non-biodegradable (adj): (of a substance) that cannot be changed to a harmless natural state, and therefore may damage the environment
Eg: In almost Vietnamese markets, goods are sold in non-biodegradable plastic packaging, which does not break down easily.
⚡ Contaminate (v): to make a substance or place dirty or no longer pure by adding a substance that is dangerous or carries disease
Eg: By using chemical fertilizers in agricultural activities, farmers have been increasingly contaminated both soil and water resources
⚡ Fuel-efficient (adj): Not wasting much fuel
Eg: People can turn to fuel-efficient cars or reduce the number of unnecessary trips in order to curb the exhaust emissions into the air.
⚡ Respiratory disease: Disease that related to breathing
Eg: As a result of air pollution in urban cities nowadays, more and more people have contracted respiratory diseases.
⚡ Organic farming: Farming that does not use artificial chemicals
Eg: Organic farming produces foods and vegetables which are rich in vitamins and minerals
⚡ Reforestation (n) the act of planting new trees in an area where there used to be a forest
Eg: Reforestation helps to restore the earth’s balance
⚡ Industrial waste: Chemicals/ substances from industrial activities
Eg: Industrial waste is being illegally dumped into the sea.
⚡ Hazardous (n): involving risk or danger, especially to somebody’s health or safety
Eg: The products that are hazardous to health should not be consumed.
